AFRICAN SAFARI

The word ‘Safari’ sprout images of adventure, dramatic landscapes and exciting wild life journey especially in Africa. The luxurious African safaris became popular among the domestic and international travellers all over the world.
Africa and Tourism
Africa is the second largest and second most populated continent in the world. This continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea in north, the Red sea in north east, and the Indian Ocean to the south east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. There are 53 countries including all the land groups. Every African country is mixed with tribes of their own language and culture.
Africa’s western, Eastern, southern and sub-Saharan Africa is auspicious to attract tourist from all over the world. It offers beautiful beaches, oceans, lakes, huge waterfall, mountain ranges, dense forest and wild animals in their natural habitat. Tourism is one of the biggest economic potential of the country like Africa. Now Africa has Government owned and private tourist organisations, hotel, lodges, restaurants etc to satisfy the growing tourist demands. The tourism package in Africa is available for all budgets.
Safari in Africa
Southern Africa attracts travellers who love adventure journeys through the thick forest. This reserve forest is an agglomeration of bio-divergent habitat and gets chance to encounter with the Big Five of Africa, the elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. Above all, for the delight of the bird watcher’s, 300 species of birds exists in this dense forest.
Preparation for a safari
Spring and summer are rainy season here. In this time, the bush is green and thick. The reserve forest is filled with many new born animals. Autumn and winter are the dry months. The forest is less dense and animals frequent in the water holes.
There is usually morning and evening safari which is available.
Morning safari: In the morning, the rising sunlight dances in the dew drops over the leaves and on the spider’s web. The forest air is filled with beautiful music of birds and the bush is alive to welcome the fresh morning.
Evening safari: In the evening, the heat of the day cools, and the inhabitants restlessly moves out of the shade of trees. The volume of the song of the birds increases. The air fills with new scents and the sun dips behind the horizon. You can be able to watch typical African sunset with sensational vibrant reds, gold and orange shades of sky. All the forest get bask and it is the time for the nocturnal hunters starts their stirring and the prey to be alert of it. With the increase of time the danger increases.
Preservations: The self-preservation for the Africa safari is like this, the traveller is recommended to consult physician regarding easily administered malaria prophylaxis before embarking on any safari to South Africa. Dress to be completely informal and recommended for neutral colours. For night and winter safaris, they have to use windbreaker or warm jacket. You have to use comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, cameras and video camera. They can use sunhats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
